God Is Working It Out for Your Good

Philippians 2:13-For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him. (New Living Translation)

Work, work, work. An endless task that puts food in our belly, money in our pockets, gives us shelter from the elements, and clothes on our backs. The bare essentials, or items provided to us on inception day that continued throughout our adolescents, toward adulthood. As we grew, so did our responsibilities. For this life no longer bore puerile decisions of when to play outside, but how will this bill get paid? This life no longer asked “where is dinner,” but rather, “is this all I can afford?” This life no longer stressed about missing homework assignments, but rather, “will this job pan out?” This life… Is working out for our good, if we just push through it. We might feel like we’re dying on the inside facing the most intense battle of our lives, BUT GOD is working it all out for our good. So run, run into His glorious arms and seek the many blessings that He holds for his children. Amen

Previously Deceived, Now We See

Proverbs 14:13- Laughter can conceal a heavy heart, but when the laughter ends, the grief remains. (New Living Translation)

It used to be funny, but now we know the truth. You snuck in and stole our hearts, like an unsuspecting sleuth. Your solutions led me to believe you had my best interest in mind. But your gesticulations guided me toward the wrong sign. Our souls are writhing now, for the gratification was too much to bear. For the price paid for you and I should deserve our care. Now we see, that we must proceed onto the path labeled eternity. Conducive to shunning the very chance of us reaching our maximum marginal utility. Therefore, may we seek the safety of immovable ground, instead of the quicksand that conceals are bodies from being found. Whereas we are burdened with an extremely important decision, to which requires neither correct timing, nor immaculate precision. All that is needed is the willingness of heart to escape from our utopias in an effort to move back into reality to seek God’s grace. Amen

His Enduring Patience

Psalm 25:11- For the honor of your name, O Lord, forgive my many, many sins. (New Living Translation)

We’re human. We’re flawed. We don’t deserve grace. For some seek to clear their conscience, while others wallow in their own slop. Hence, their writhing around is nothing more than a mechanism to quiet their burdensome Spirit. For, forgiveness can’t knock on their door, due to their unwillingness to answer. Why? ‘Cuz the door must remain closed so they can hide their actions within the darkness. Light is their enemy because it breeds a constant fear of realization, to where they stand on moral ground. Light is their enemy because it temporarily blinds them to seeing the errors in their ways. For in the end they seek to satisfy THEIR APPETITES. But no matter what, the Lord waits with his inhuman patience, to take our sins and eradicate them. Therefore, to be forgiven by our Heavenly Father shouldn’t be taken lightly. The reason we should break our hearts with sadness to ruminate over the sins we’ve committed. Amen

Is There Any Question?

Mark 9:23- “What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.” (New Living Translation)

If I can, or if he can, for that is the question. If I can accomplish the impossible, is it through my own strength? If I fear no evil and walk circumspect through this world, is my discernment my own? If I close all business transactions, was my acumen honed through my own intellect? If these questions sound unsure then they bear uncertainty that we are not living this life alone. Therefore, if it is not I, then who aids us within the realms of impossibility? Who is taking our crippling fears and standing us upright? Who has given us the intellect to think, function, and deliberate. If we don’t know, then may we learn of this force or power. May we ask of his name and follow his decrees. For the man who has given us strength, love, and discipline is Jesus. Therefore, may we not question, nor live within doubt. For God has already seen this world and figured it all out. Amen

And I Rise

Mark 11:23-I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. (New Living Translation)

If we believe, then we can achieve… Greatness, in its highest form. If we believe, then we can achieve… Powerful testimonies that will stir the hearts of many who could sympathize with that event and/or circumstance. If we believe, then we can achieve… A higher level of faith. For the one who clings onto the belief that his turmoil will change will resemble a Phoenix risen from the ashes. Therefore, each moment we spend depressed is time lost. Time that could’ve been saved, if we sought to hold onto the truth of God’s Word. Patience that could’ve been nurtured if we waited for God’s timing instead of our own. For actions done without faith are as useless as hot air balloon without any hot air. Hence, we will be grounded, rather than floating amongst the clouds. Amen

Unmerited: God’s Grace

Philemon 1:25- May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. (New Living Translation)

Grace- a manifestation of favor, especially by a superior.
Mercy- compassion shown toward an offender.

These two words are the life jacket that saved us from the roaring seas. These two words were bred in elegance and brought to view through an honorable death. These two words allowed Jesus’ life-giving blood to flow. For it didn’t stain the ground, but mixed with it, which caused the skies to thunder and the ground to shake, because even the Earth knew that this was the Son of God. Thus, we were all destined to fail, BUT GOD intervened to save us from the clutches of darkness to lead us into the light. By this act, we know grace, mercy, and love, which illustrates how our lives (bought at a price) must act accordingly to being good stewards of the faith. However, may we always keep in mind that we are imperfect and might stumble along the way, hence the beauty of God’s grace that bears no expiration date. Amen

Let It Flow

Ecclesiastes 11:1- Send your grain across the seas, and in time, profits will flow back to you. (New Living Translation)

Listen up, for a new phase is coming your way, and it is simply to just “let it flow.” Hence, “let it flow” is a phrase that moves with seamless precision. “Let it flow” is a phrase that when hypothetically touched mimics the soft, velvety characteristics of silk that glides across our skin. “Let it flow” is a phrase that describes the joy and peace we can partake in if we follow the Lord’s instructions. Therefore, may we couple this phrase with Galatians 5:22, “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.” Hence, our spirits begin to digest these fruits, which provide us with the vitamins to enjoy a well-built soul. However, this never occurs overnight, but is a long and enduring process that requires PATIENCE. For if we allow the Lord to work within our lives, IN TIME, we shall receive our blessings. Amen

Caring for Those on Milk

Hebrews 5:13- For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn’t know how to do what is right. (New Living Translation)

Mature, solid food fed Christians can distinguish the bold line between right and wrong (Hebrews 5:14). Puerile, liquid fed Christians can’t distinguish the bold line between right and wrong. Thus, how can we clarify our own status in order to lead godly lives? For mature Christians make mistakes as do young Christians. Mature Christians can witness to others as can young Christians. However, mature Christians are pained by their Holy Spirit, while young Christians seek more clarity to understand the reason for their heavy hearts. Therefore, mature Christians can’t be impatient, for God can work within all people who are ready and willing to listen. For we once were young babes in Christ being fed the nutrients through the Word of God, so we might grow big and strong. For this reason may we allow God to do the molding, while He uses us as a tool to spin the clay. Amen

1 Woman, 1 Man

Note: I love that Herbert has written this message for a world where “holy courting” will sound like fingernails skimming a chalkboard. It is an unpopular concept in a world where lust of the flesh drives appetites without care for another’s heart or soul. Satan has done well to counterfeit God’s design for relationships, but we are here to share truth where confusion and deception have taken root. Just as a man will never satisfy another man’s soul, nor a woman will ever satisfy another woman’s soul, lusting after multiples will never satisfy the soul either. God’s joyful, life-giving design for male and female relationships is that two equally yoked become one, and whose monogamous partnership reflects God’s love. One woman, one man.  -Nicole

Job‬ ‭31‬:‭1-‬ “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust at a young woman.” (New Living Translation)

1 woman, 1 man. Is this task hard? Yes, but can it be done.  1 man, 1 woman. Each of us deal with carnal cravings, which causes our heads to swivel. Lack of self-control allows our minds to defect from the truth like a rebel. Is this task hard? Yes, but can we move from animalistic attractions to holy courting? Yes. 1 woman, 1 man. Joy inundates the heart when love has made its home. Monogamy comes easier and his/her glances are affixed on each another, which leaves the eyes with no room to roam. Thus, is this task hard? Yes, but can it be done. Yes, 1 man, 1 woman. Therefore, as a man who has found his woman, might I say this is possible. For Irina provides the relief from facing this world alone, like a cool breeze on a hot summer day. Therefore, may we proceed with stout determination to stay the course and watch as God delivers our divine counterpart. (1 man, 1 woman) Amen

Prayer: Our Four Tires

1 Thessalonians 5:17-Never stop praying. (New Living Translation) Pray continually. (New International Version)

Our time is important. Our time is sacred. With work and obligations Monday thru Saturday and errands to run on Sunday, we have no time for ourselves. Thus, this call to action is simple. A call that will not be adorned with flowery language, or poetic couplings to paint profound images within your mind. A call that will seek out the bare essentials like food, shelter, clothes, and water. A call to which we strip away the demands of the outside world, in order to hear the whisper of God’s voice cached within the wind. There we will find the tranquility of the Holy Spirit and the ability to listen to the faint groanings of our souls. It is there that serenity intersects at the crossroads of clarity. For yesterday’s anxiety is forgotten and the stress of of tomorrow dissipates, all due to our obedience to fulfill the request of ceaseless prayer. A tool that will keep our bodies running on all four tires with no need for spare. Amen
